At Simply Blush Bridal, we believe in the power of community, support, and shining a light on those who need it most. This year, we are proud to stand behind a cause that holds a special place in our hearts: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night campaign!
Every year, Light The Night offers hope to those affected by blood cancers, offering not just a chance to fund life-saving research, but also an opportunity to bring people together to celebrate strength, love, and the power of community. It's an evening filled with unity, joy, and remembrance, as we support those who fight and honor those we've lost.

At Simply Blush Bridal, we are dedicated to making a difference. One of the ways we give back is through Blushgiving, our annual fundraising event that brings our community together to raise money for this incredible cause. We were also incredibly honored to receive support from Maggie Sottero, one of our beloved wedding dress designers, who generously donated to help fund critical research and support services for patients and their families.
This cause is especially close to our hearts because of Team Leukemia Beat Down, founded by our very own bridal stylist and receiving manager, Susie Cunningham, in honor of her late husband, Greg Cunningham. Greg, a talented graphic designer and leukemia fighter, designed the winning t-shirt for the 2017 Light The Night event, which was worn by thousands across the country, symbolizing hope and strength.

In 2017, Greg’s design for the Light The Night t-shirt contest was chosen from over 3,000 entries, a moment of triumph and pride for the couple. Greg, a 30-year veteran graphic designer, had been battling acute myeloid leukemia since 2014. He went through a bone marrow transplant and fought tirelessly to contribute his talents to the cause. His t-shirt design was worn by thousands of participants across the country, symbolizing the hope that Light The Night represents. |

Sadly, Greg passed away in 2019, but his legacy lives on through Team Leukemia Beat Down. In a past newsletter from the organization, Susie reflected on the immense support the team continues to receive: “Amazing things happen each year during Light the Night." |
"From all the hard work the staff/volunteers do, to the great finale light show, to supporting all survivors, caregivers, and a moment of silence for lost loved ones. Our favorite memory is being with our family and friends in a team effort to support a great organization. The incredible support we receive from family and friends has warmed our hearts in a way people will never realize. We lost Greg in 2019, but his dream of Team Leukemia Beat Down helping Light the Night will live on forever.”
